ChatGPT’s fictional fund is outperforming UK’s top 10 funds, which collectively lost 0.8% in value. The ChatGPT fund has led the real funds for 87% of its lifespan, with a difference of 6.6% on its best day. Personal finance site Finder created the fund by asking ChatGPT to select stocks based on leading fund investing principles. Despite warnings against giving specific investment advice, the exercise was considered theoretical.
