Alibaba Cloud Introduces Tongyi Qianwen: A New AI Model to Challenge ChatGPT

Alibaba Cloud, which powers the digital technology and intelligence of Alibaba Group, has launched its latest large language model, Tongyi Qianwen. The new AI model is expected to enhance user experience across Alibaba’s various businesses by offering access to the model for creating customised AI features. Additionally, the company has introduced lower cost options for key cloud products, including Elastic Compute Service (ECS) and Object Storage Service (OSS). This will enable companies to leverage emerging opportunities in the new AI era in China while making computing more affordable and accessible.
