Microsoft has launched the public preview of its AI-powered design tool, Designer, with an enhanced set of features. Similar to Canva, the web app allows users to create designs for posters, presentations, invitations, and social media. Designer utilizes user-generated content and OpenAI’s DALL-E 2 text-to-image AI for ideating designs, along with customization options such as drop-downs and text boxes. The AI models have improved since the announcement in October, with features to enhance the Designer canvas, according to Bryan Rognier, GM at Microsoft’s 365 Consumer division.
