Deutsche Bank CEO unconcerned about European bank crisis

Deutsche Bank CEO, Christian Sewing, believes Europe won’t face a banking crisis and the bank will only grow through acquisitions that make sense. Speaking at an online conference, Sewing stated that regional bank problems in the US do not pose risks to Europe as European banks are sustainably profitable. He mentioned that Deutsche aims to grow organically and inorganically, but no big M&A transaction is expected given the current circumstances. Last week, Deutsche announced its largest acquisition in over a decade – boutique investment bank Numis.
