Asia Markets Rise Following Wall Street’s Friday Rebound

Asian markets rose on Monday, buoyed by Wall Street’s Friday rebound. The Shanghai Composite was up 1.7%, and the Shenzhen Component gained 0.4%. However, Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 0.71%, and the Topix lost 0.21%. Energy, financials, and technology led the losses in Tokyo. Despite this, Japan’s services sector saw a record pace of expansion in April. Meanwhile, minutes from Japan’s March monetary policy meeting showed concerns over inflation accelerating faster than anticipated.
