Goldman Sachs has launched its first-ever startup, Louisa, a networking platform for employees that has been used internally for two and a half years. Louisa’s founder and CEO, Rohan Doctor, now aims to expand its client base beyond the bank. The software creates user profiles and pulls newsfeeds to connect individuals who could benefit from each other. Louisa can read millions of articles each week from 250 providers, making possible deals based on news. According to Doctor, Louisa is an A.I.-powered LinkedIn on steroids.
