Amazon’s cloud unit, AWS, plans to invest $13 billion in India by 2030, doubling its previous investments. This is in response to the growing demand for cloud services in India. Additionally, the company has already invested $6.5 billion in Indian e-commerce. The new investment will focus on building cloud infrastructure and create 100,000 jobs annually. By 2030, Amazon’s total planned investment in India will reach $16.4 billion. Currently, AWS operates data centers in Mumbai (since 2016) and Hyderabad (since 2022).
