Popular Android screen recording app, “iRecorder – Screen Recorder,” spied on users after a year of being listed on Google Play. The app stole microphone recordings and documents from phones. The malicious code, known as AhRat, allowed it to secretly upload 1 minute of audio every 15 minutes and extract files. The app has been removed from Google Play, but if you have it, delete it. It had over 50,000 downloads before being pulled. AhRat is a customized version of AhMyth, a remote access trojan that functions as spyware and stalkerware.
