OpenAI has introduced new plug-ins for its chatbot, ChatGPT, just days after releasing its powerful image and text understanding AI model, GPT-4, to a limited public. The plug-ins will give ChatGPT access to up-to-date information and enable users to book travel, buy groceries, perform computations, and more. OpenAI responded to the demands of its current users with this update and invited plug-in developers off its waitlist to build a plug-in for ChatGPT using its documentation. The first plug-ins were developed by 12 companies, including Expedia, Instacart, Shopify, and Zapier, among others.
